Construction Estimator BridgePermanentMarkham, ONHybridCompensation & Benefits:Competitive salary (based on experience)Performance bonusesHealth, dental, and vision coverageKey Responsibilities:Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for bridge and structural projects.Review engineering drawings, specs, geotechnical reports, and contracts.Complete quantity take-offs (concrete, steel, rebar, formwork, etc.).Source and analyze quotes from subs and suppliers.Collaborate with PMs and engineers to identify risks and cost-saving opportunities.Participate in design reviews and value engineering.Support bid strategies, proposals, and tender submissions.Maintain cost databases and stay current on market trends.Assist with change orders and cost validations during construction.Qualifications:Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.5+ years of experience estimating civil/bridge projects.Strong knowledge of bridge construction methods.Proficient in estimating tools (HCSS, WinEst, Excel).Skilled in reading technical drawings and specifications.Detail-oriented with strong math and problem-solving skills.Experience with MTO bridge projects and P3/Design-Build methods is a plus.Certifications like CPE or PMP are assets.Familiar with scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project) and BIM/CAD.
