Their main task is the safety and long-term management intermediate and high-level radioactive waste, while securing protection for people and the environment. This is an On-site role in Ignace, ON. Key Responsibilities : We are seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join their team during the Site Characterization phase of a major project. This role is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) management systems at the project site. Lead and coordinate HSE risk assessments prior to work activities, ensuring control measures are implemented and documented. Foster a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with HSSE policies and encouraging proactive reporting, hazard assessments, and timely follow-up. Review and maintain project site safety policies and procedures to ensure consistency and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with managers and staff to drive continuous improvement in safety performance and culture, as well as advise and provide feedback to leaderships on necessary improvements. Provide comprehensive training and up-to-date guidance on HSSE procedures relevant to site activities. Perform other related duties as assigned to support a safe and compliant work environment. Main requirements : Must be eligible to work in Canada; +10 years of experience in occupational health, safety and environmental management with site based implementation; Knowledge of Federal Employment Legislation and OHS Regulations; Experience in the energy sector or other highly regulated industry.
