Primary Responsibilities:You will support plastic manufacturing operations by providing leadership to production staff and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, housekeeping, service, and efficiency standards in alignment with corporate goals. Key duties include:Overseeing and ensuring completion of operator training programs.Providing clear direction, feedback, and performance evaluations to employees to help them meet operational standards.Completing and maintaining employee training sign-offs on an annual and as-needed basis.Leading 'First Time Safe' meetings and managing all assigned safety training for production personnel.Assisting with inventory audits, including reconciliation and participation in the annual site-wide inventory count.Troubleshooting processes and implementing changes to optimize performance on all extruders.Investigating safety incidents and product non-conformances.Reporting product, equipment, or staffing issues to management as they arise.Monitoring employee breaks and resin grinding as needed.Opening and closing the facility when required.Applying new processing techniques learned through external training.Maintaining a strong attendance record.Qualifications:High school diploma required; post-secondary education (college diploma or university degree) is an asset.Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or operations environment; plastics manufacturing experience is preferred.Proven leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.Valid forklift certification and experience.Strong focus on health, safety, and environmental standards with a track record of safe work practices.Familiarity with T.D.G., O.H.&S., and W.H.M.I.S. is an asset.Proficiency with computers and solid problem-solving capabilities.Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies is an advantage.Thanks to all the applicants in advance!
