They are seeking a visionary and results-orientedProject Director to lead the execution of a landmark $10 billion investmentproject, from design through to completion.JOBDESCRIPTION :Reporting to the Chief ExecutiveOfficer, the Project Director will assume overall accountability for theproject's performance delivered under the EPCM (Engineering, Procurement,Construction Management) model, including schedule, budget, quality, safety,risk, and stakeholder engagement. This is a high-profile, mission-critical rolethat requires exceptional leadership, strategic insight, and operationalexcellence.TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:KeyResponsibilities - Strategic Leadership Leadthe overall planning, execution, monitoring, and control of the project. Defineand implement the project delivery strategy, execution plan, and governancestructure. Alignproject goals with broader corporate and stakeholder expectations. Fostera culture of realism in forecasting, actively mitigating optimism bias andpolitical pressure.Execution& DeliveryOversee all phases of project execution including engineering, procurement,construction, commissioning, and handover. Ensureproject milestones, quality standards, and performance metrics are met orexceeded. Driverigorous cost, schedule, and change control processes.Establish formal mechanisms to re-baseline scope and cost as soon as deviationsare confirmed.RiskManagement Identify,assess, and manage project risks proactively.Establish mitigation and contingency strategies for critical path elements. Ensureindependent risk reviews are embedded into project lifecycle milestones.Prevent exclusion of strategic alternatives by ensuring all viable projectoptions are evaluated and documented.TeamLeadership Build,lead, and inspire a high-performing multi-disciplinary project team, includingcontractors and partners. Fostera culture of safety, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.Supervise the Deputy Director and a team of 15 to 20 Project Managers.StakeholderEngagement Serveas the principal liaison with internal and external stakeholders (governmentagencies, Indigenous communities, regulators, shareholders, the public). Upholdinclusive and meaningful consultation processes, particularly with Indigenouscommunities, as emphasized in the Commissions findings.Governance& Compliance Ensurefull compliance with legal, regulatory, ESG, and corporate governancerequirements.
