We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Heavy Equipment Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty construction and municipal machinery and equipmentboth in the shop and in the field (as needed). This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge, a commitment to safety, and excellent communication skills.Location: Mississauga, ONJob Type: Full-TimeHours: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday) + overtime as requiredWhats In It for You?Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits packageContinuous technical training on brands sold (CAN/US)Opportunities for professional development and certificationA dynamic, safety-focused work environment with room for advancementKey ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs in-shop and assist with on-road service calls as neededConduct routine maintenance and inspections on rental equipmentTroubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools and perform post-repair testingMaintain and submit accurate service reports and warranty documentation dailyCarry out welding repairs when necessaryStrictly adhere to all workplace safety policies and report unsafe conditions or incidentsStay current with technical knowledge through training (CAN/US)Travel as required and work independently in remote or high-pressure environmentsOur Ideal Candidate421A Heavy Duty Equipment Technician License (required)5+ years of experience with heavy equipment diagnostics and repairsStrong mechanical and electrical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systemsAbility to read and interpret schematics and service manualsValid drivers license with a clean abstract; D/Z license is a plusPhysically capable of lifting up to 80 lbsProficient in computer-based diagnostics and service reportingStrong communication, organizational, and customer service skillsSafety-conscious, dependable, and self-directedCrusher/Screen equipment experience highly desirableOverhead crane, forklift, working at heights, and First Aid certifications preferredAmaco represents a select group of specialized manufacturers.
