Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Underwriter to join their team! The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of progressive experience in Commercial Lines underwriting at MGA.Location: Hybrid in OntarioResponsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:Review & apply pricing, terms & conditions to new & renewal business.Maintain and grow existing relationships with key retail producing brokers.Develop out new broker relationships, including broker visits & discussionsStay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to inform underwriting strategies and decisionParticipate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance market presence and build professional relationshipsRequirements:5+ years of commercial lines underwriting experiencePrior working experience with MGA is preferredLevel 1 General Insurance licenseA (CIP) or equivalent or working towards a designation is preferredAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong underwriting acumen, effective communication, and negotiation skillsSalary: up to $110,000 per year depending on experienceDGA Careers has been proudly serving the Canadian insurance industry for over 30 years, specializing in providing insurance recruiting services to major insurers, insurance brokerage firms and independent adjusting firms.
