Job Summary:We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of our health and safety programs within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will ensure regulatory compliance, drive continuous improvement, and cultivate a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & ComplianceDevelop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs in compliance with all local, provincial, and federal regulations (e.g., OHSA, WSIB).Serve as the subject matter expert and key point of contact for all health and safety matters within the facility.Risk ManagementConduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and workplace inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.Training & EngagementDeliver or coordinate employee health and safety training (e.g., WHMIS, Lockout/Tagout, ergonomics, PPE).Lead safety committees and engage cross-functional teams to promote employee participation in safety initiatives.Claims Management, Reporting & DocumentationMaintain all required safety records, reports, and documentation (e.g., injury logs, claim documentation, training records).Track and analyze safety metrics and trends to develop actionable insights and reports for management.Emergency PreparednessOversee emergency response planning and drills, including fire safety, evacuation procedures, and first aid readiness.Qualifications:Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in health and safety management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Certified Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or equivalent designation preferred.In-depth knowledge of applicable safety legislation and standards (e.g., OHSA, WSIB, CSA).Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to influence and drive change.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.What We Offer:Competitive salary and performance-based incentivesComprehensive benefits packagePension planSupportive team environment and safety-first cultureOpportunities for professional development and career growth
