Position: Payroll ManagerLocation: Downtown Toronto Salary: Competitive Hourly Rate based on experience Job Type: Temporary 3-month contract with potential for extension Start Date: ASAPJoin an organization that values precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Were currently seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and oversee payroll operations across the organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accurate processing of payroll, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the integrity of payroll-related financial reporting.Youll work closely with internal stakeholders including Finance and People & Culture to support compensation programs, audits, and cross-functional initiatives.Key Responsibilities:- Manage and process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll cycles across multiple provinces- Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts- Oversee remittances (WCB, EHT/QHIP, CRA, RPP, RRSP, etc.) and year-end reporting (T4, RL-1)- Maintain accurate records within ADP Workforce Now and respond to audit and government agency requests- Deliver training to site-based timekeepers and ensure consistent payroll practices across the organization- Stay current with all federal and provincial payroll legislation and reporting requirements- Liaise with pension providers to ensure accuracy of retirement contributions- Contribute to payroll-related audits, grant notifications, and controls testingPayroll Manager Skills & Qualifications:- PCP designation (required); a bachelors degree in Business, HR, Finance, or Accounting is preferred- 5+ years of payroll experience across multiple Canadian provinces- Strong working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, HRIS systems, and payroll/accounting software- Proficient in Excel, with a solid grasp of pension/benefits legislation and Workers Compensation practices- A detail-oriented, adaptable professional with excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skillsThis is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to take ownership of a critical function.Apply today to to join a team where your expertise will be valued, and your contributions will be noticed.REFER AND EARN A $50 GIFT CARD!
