Role Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Partnerships Manager to lead the development, execution, and management of partnerships that are both financially valuable and organizationally-aligned, supporting not just Innovation Factory but the innovative businesses we work with. This role is critical to expanding our organizations impact through collaborative, sustainable relationships with businesses, institutions, and other innovation focused organizations.This role is a key contributor to other areas of the business and you will work closely with the leadership as well as Innovation Factory Marketing, Venture Growth and Life Sciences teams. This role reports into the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Growth.Core Responsibilities:Partner Relationship ManagementIdentify, cultivate, and manage corporate, public and institutional, as well as community-based partnerships, stakeholder relationships and networks that support both revenue goals and organizational impact.Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, ensuring mutual value and clear deliverables.Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective partners, serving as a key representative of our organization.Collaborate with internal teams to align partnership goals with programmatic and organizational objectives.Develop partnership proposals, pitch decks, reports, and impact summaries.Track and report on partnership metrics and outcomes, ensuring accountability and transparency.Stay up-to-date on industry trends and innovative partnership models in the nonprofit sector.Strategic Partnership Development and ExecutionSupport the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Growth with planning a comprehensive partnership strategy for Innovation Factory, including the newly expanded region of Innovation Factory.Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of partner contacts as well aslead lists for strategic initiatives, using the CRM as a tool to ensure key partner information and interests are captured.Develop business cases or strategic partnership proposals as needed on behalf of Innovation Factorys leadership team.Ensure organizationally that all members are aligned to the necessary activities needed to fulfill strategic partnership goals and ensure the necessary vehicles to measure and track this are in place.Maintain an annual cadence with all partners to provide communication of the value they are receiving by way of annual report, in addition to ongoing regular communication.Cross Functional Integration of PartnersOversight for planning and executing partner initiatives internally.Responsible for maintaining active engagement with partners and ensuring where relevant and an interest, that they are supporting all flagship events.Liaise with the Venture Growth team to understand how to best connect partners with Innovation Factory clients in a manner that is mutually beneficial.Oversight of relationships with partner organizations including IRCC and Canadas Tech Network, which are integral to the success of Innovation Factorys Startup Visa programTeam OperationsProvide mentorship and coordinate team operations with Director of Strategic Partnerships and Growth and team membersProvide input on performance reviews and goal work plansEnsures the team is working cross functionally as needed to deliver and be successful in the delivery of partner-focused commitmentsQualifications:Minimum 5 years experience in partnerships, business development, fundraising, or related roles preferably in the nonprofit or innovation economy space.Strong relationship-building and communication skillsAbility to think strategically and translate organizational goals into partnership opportunities.Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teamsStrong interpersonal, communication, active listening, and presentation skillsExperienced in developing and executing plansStrong project management skills with an ability to manage a diverse range of projects and adjust to changing priorities in an ever-evolving work environment while maintaining high efficiency and thorough attention to detail.Demonstrated expertise with relationship management tools and CRM systems for tracking partnership pipelines and outcomes.Demonstrated interest in innovation, technology, and/or entrepreneurshipAlignment with Innovation Factory's mission, vision, and cultureAssetsKnowledge and past experience directly managing corporate partnershipsPassion for innovation and regional economic developmentFamiliarity with Ontario's innovation ecosystem and/or tech sectorExperience with project management software and tools like Asana and othersWorking Conditions5 days per week; 37.5 hours per week, regular daytime business hours are between 9 am EST to 5 pm EST.Some localized travel required (GTA).Location either/both office locationsLocation:Innovation FactoryB21-175 Longwood Rd S, Hamilton ON5500 N Service Rd #801, Burlington, ONAbout Innovation FactoryInnovation Factory (iF) is a not-for-profit business accelerator, providing entrepreneurs with business services, training, mentorship and strategic connections to help bring disruptive technologies to market, increase revenues, attract investment and create jobs.Our mission is to be the primary catalyst for technology innovation in the greater Hamilton and Halton areas with a vision to make the region Canadas fastest-growing innovation community and the first port of call for innovators.
