Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst for a long-term remote contract opportunity with our government client based in Winnipeg. This position begins with a 6-month term and has an expected total duration of 24 months.The Senior Business Analyst will have a minimum of 15 years of experience as a Business Analyst. Benefits & PerksImmediate long-term role as a remote Business AnalystPotential for contract extensionResponsibilitiesLead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand business objectives and document detailed business requirementsAnalyze and document current business processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and optimizationDevelop comprehensive business cases outlining costs, benefits, and risks of proposed solutionsCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams (including IT, operations, and management) to ensure alignment of business and technology solutionsCreate functional specifications and user stories that are clear, complete, and feasible for implementationConduct impact analysis for proposed changes and enhancements to existing systems and processesProvide guidance and mentorship to junior business analysts and team members as neededParticipate in testing and quality assurance efforts, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and are fit for purposeAssist in developing training materials and conduct training sessions for end users as necessaryDefine and document business processes, including current and future statesAct as a liaison between departmental end-users, technical teams, consultants, and other governmental organizations in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, and maintenance of solutionsIdentify opportunities for improving business processes through technology or process changesRead and interpret technical literature, translating it into understandable terms for end-users or non-technical staffPlan, organize, and conduct business process reengineering/improvement projects and management reviews of programsConsolidate information into cohesive and understandable correspondence or written form to support management decision-making QualificationsBachelors degree in Computer Science, Commerce, or an equivalent fieldMinimum of 15 years of experience as a Business AnalystMinimum of 10 years of experience in documenting/conducting process analysis and re-engineeringMinimum of 10 years of experience writing requirements, use cases, and user storiesMinimum of 10 years of experience working on projects in an agile environmentStrong political acumenExcellent critical thinking skillsExceptional communication, consulting, and client relationship skillsmust be able to clearly communicate complex technical and business concepts to clients (internal or external) and team members, and negotiate changeCapable of effectively identifying and framing problems, gathering information, and integrating this information to produce timely, thoughtful decisions Preferred QualificationsAccreditation from IIBA (International Institute of Business Analysis) is an assetKnowledge of the Business Analysis Book of Knowledge (BABOK) is considered an assetAdditional Requirements A criminal background check is required.David Aplin & Associates Inc., operating as Aplin, and its associated brands, CompuStaff and Impact Recruitment, is an award-winning employment agency connecting diverse, top-tier talent with exceptional organizations across North America.
