Tammy Boyko and Carlan Wilbon are seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a remote long-term contract opportunity with our Government client based in Winnipeg. This position begins with a 6-month term, with an expected total duration of 24 months. The Business Analyst will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working with analysis of an organization or business domain and documents, its business or processes or systems, assessing the business model or its integration with technology. Benefits & PerksImmediate long term role as a remove Business AnalystPotential to extendResponsibilitiesDocument the business drivers, client area processes, and how those processes contribute to the achievement of the areas business goalsAnalyze the business needs of clients and stakeholders to propose potential solutions both technical and non-technicalLead the translation of business requirements into high-level design specificationsDesign and document cost effective, innovative and operationally supportable solutions Document the structure, connections, and relationships of business processes, organizational work groups, data, applications, user interfaces, applications interfaces, infrastructure, and network topologyDesign solutions that recognize and adapt to the business, technical, and financial constraintsDevelop solutions that recognize IT operational limitations and opportunitiesDocument the effort, risk, costs, and complexity of potential solutionsResearch and write discussion documents on such topics as emerging technologies, vendors, functionality and reliability of products, and service offeringsReview proposed solution architectures and ensure they align with overall enterprise architecture roadmaps, standards, designs, and strategiesEnsure solution architectures meet business objectives for availability, reliability, performance, scalability, maintainability, manageability, and securityAbility to identify trends and create appropriate strategy and roadmap documents for Enterprise IT initiatives such as Internet of Things (IoT), Information Management, Data Analytics and cloud platformsDevelop Enterprise principles, standards, and guidelines for enterprise solutions and strategic outlookDevelop Governance for enterprise solution approvalsSolution architecture reviews to insure alignment with Enterprise ArchitectureDevelop templates for solution architectures and solution design documentsDevelop or update domain specific architectures (business architecture, application architecture, mobile architecture and data / information architecture)Other architect duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum of eight (8) years of experience working in technical Information Technology roles within complex enterprise environmentsMinimum of three (3) years of experience developing solution architectures on projects across n-tiered platformsExpert knowledge of Information Architecture principles and techniques, data management, data integration and data quality platforms and toolsExpert knowledge and experience in Dynamics CRM and PlatformsExpert knowledge in at least one enterprise ETL toolMinimum of three (3) years of experience working architecting solutions involving complex integration scenarios (multi-platform, competing technologies, SaaS and PaaS, Software as a Service)Knowledge of process re-engineering principles, requirements gathering, and middleware managementAbility to translate complex technical concepts into simple non-technical terms for various audiencesAbility to adapt to change in dynamically evolving situationsAbility to work in a team environmentMinimum 5+ years experience working in an Enterprise Architect roleExperience communicating and presenting to senior executive managementMinimum 5+ years experience developing and implementing standards, principles, guidelines, strategies and roadmaps for the enterpriseExcellent customer service skillsCriminal background check is required.David Aplin & Associates Inc., operating as Aplin, and its associated brands, CompuStaff and Impact Recruitment, is an award-winning employment agency connecting diverse, top-tier talent with exceptional organizations across North America.
