As a key member of the maintenance team the Millwright reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and will ensure that the day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Millwright will be responsible for maintaining and servicing equipment used in the facility. Additionally, they will warrant safe plant operations and a safe working environment for all employees. Installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair and upgrading of processing, packaging, material handling and utility service equipment in a food processing environment this also includes wastewater treatment monitoring. Mechanical knowledge of power, transmission, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electronics. Perform and document all maintenance activities. Read and understand mechanical and schematic drawings. Strong focus on food safety and workplace safety. A valid Manitoba Journeyman Certificate of Qualification as a Millwright Red Seal. A minimum of 2 years related maintenance experience in an industrial plant. Knowledge of plant and equipment operations. Available for weekend overtime as production demands require. Additional experience or education and training an asset, i.e. welding, refrigeration, steam ticket, wastewater treatment. Basic Computer ability. Prior knowledge or working experience with (SAP) Mobile Maintenance or CMMS is an asset but not required.
