In this role, you will ensure vehicles are delivered in a timely manner and work on any transport issues that may arise. Ensure MMSCAN, MMNA, our rail, truck yard and 3PL partners are communicating effectively. Support Regional Sales Operations by providing information on in-transit units. In addition, this role will support the department in handling damage claims of vehicles in transit as well as various reporting functions. This position reports to the Manager, Vehicle Logistics. RESPONSIBILITIES Vehicle Logistics Support: Continually monitor the physical movement of all vehicles to and in Canada ensuring the timely delivery to Dealers and Fleet Customers by: Communicating and coordinating with MMSCAN departments, NAD, MMNA, ports, compounds, railway and trucking vendors and analyzing reports provided by them Being proactive to decrease and avoid unnecessary delays by monitoring and analyzing daily inventory and shipping reports from our Ports and Compounds Maintaining and updating dealer information and on hold status and notifying all affected parties. Arrange any miscellaneous vehicle moves (i.e. tows) from yards and ports when necessary Working with various internal departments, updating the OMS system with the latest information available and keeping it as current as possible. E.g., route codes, transit times, Hold dealers, eligible models, etc. Coordinate the assignments of on-ground and pipeline inventory amongst dealers to facilitate and maximize the wholesale potential and provide management with updated status reports. Vehicle In-Transit Damage Support: Coordinate and monitor in-transit and marine vehicle damage by: Assessing and working with the Company Car Coordinator, Port Manager, our insurance company and dealers on the repair, reimbursement and costing of damaged vehicles Ensure the prompt reimbursement from the responsible parties and liaise with accounting to properly book. Reporting: Gather, analyze and maintain data on wholesale performance. Support the development of regular reports and dashboards to track and key performance metrics. Assist in identifying trends and discrepancies in production and sales performance. Support in the preparation and presentation of the Weekly Report, and Business Plans and the development of sales reports, presentations, and meeting planning. Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Field Operations, Distribution, and MMNA to ensure smooth coordination of vehicle delivery. Support communication of key updates to stakeholders regarding wholesale performance. Assist in preparing reports and presentations for management meetings. Process Improvement and Compliance: Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and automation. Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate guidelines in reporting and data management. TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PROFILE 2-3 years of professional experience performing automotive Vehicle Distribution or similar supply chain functions. Advanced Excel skills are required. BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Research, Economics or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent statistical analysis and problem-solving skills. The ability to grasp complex issues and present proactive countermeasures. Ability to communicate effectively Able to work well independently. Ability to work in a team environment with people of various backgrounds; effectively communicate and report to management to enhance business needs.
