This candidate will be a tax attorney in either Tax Controversy, Corporate Tax, or Trust & Estates. LL.M. preferred. The attorney will focus on representing businesses or high net worth individuals. We do not do any plaintiff work, it''s all defense! This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned litigator with a portable book of business to contribute to the growth and success of our firm, while also developing their own practice. This position offers an excellent platform for a motivated individual to leverage their existing client base and network, to expand their practice and influence within the firm. Responsibilities Manage and oversee all aspects of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials. Develop and execute litigation strategy, manage discovery obligations, draft pleadings and briefs, and lead trial teams. Proactively manage a substantial case load across a variety of jurisdictions, while ensuring your clients are provided with up-to-date legal advice. Actively participate in business development activities to attract and retain clients. Mentor and guide junior lawyers and staff, fostering an environment of teamwork and collaboration. Contribute to the strategic planning and decision-making at the partner level to advance the overall direction and growth of the firm. Maintain an excellent level of customer service to ensure the satisfaction and retention of clients. Qualifications J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
