Job Overview Reporting to the Project Manager, we are recruiting full-time 309A Medium/High Voltage Electricians who will have extensive experience in Substation Maintenance, Installation, Construction and Termination of Medium/High Voltage systems, along with an excellent understanding of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC). As a Medium/High Voltage electrician, you will be instrumental in constructing, terminating and ensuring the safety and dependability of critical Medium/High Voltage electrical infrastructure. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair Medium/High Voltage electrical systems and equipment in compliance with relevant codes and standards. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems. Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to perform electrical work. Troubleshoot electrical issues using logic controllers and other diagnostic tools. Renovate existing electrical systems to improve functionality and safety. Collaborate with other tradespeople as a maintenance person to ensure comprehensive project completion. Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become problematic. Experience Ontario or Inter-Provincial (309A/Red Seal) Electrician Certificate of Qualification required. Minimum 5-10 years of experience working on Medium/High Voltage electrical projects in the industrial and/or commercial sectors within Ontario, Canada. Project Management Skills: ability and desire to take initiative and responsibility for improvement projects and see them through to completion. Experience with Maintenance Management Systems is an asset. Working knowledge of Lock-Out Tag-Out, Electrical Safety and Arc Flash protection is required. Must be able to perform rotating shift work if required. Ability to be on call if required. Must be able to travel for work throughout the province of Ontario. Strong computer literacy and knowledge of MS Office tools required. Strong communication skills. Valid AZ/DZ driver's license or willingness to obtain one if needed. 2-3 professional references related to electrical projects in Ontario in the last 5 years.
