JOB SUMMARYThe role of the Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to an established project schedule with strict time deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors, vendors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the projects objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. The Project Manager relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals established by the company.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following represents a list of essential duties and responsibilities.Other duties may be assigned. The task list below is intended to be descriptive and not restrictive:Create Project schedules and forecastsProcess project orders from order intake to successful start-upResponsible for manufacturing procurement and purchase orders working locally in Canada and with our Manufacturing facility in GermanyCoordination and checking of all deliverablesMaintain project status reports and change orders as necessaryManage project budgetMeasure, analyze, and present performance metrics of completed projectsDirect and manage project planning and execution from start to finish with input as needed from cross functional team members in Canada and GermanyDefine project scope in relation to contract requirements, scope, milestones, vendor data & documentation, testing, certifications, approval/final drawings and all deliverables that support customer order requirements aligned with HUBER TECHNOLOGY vision and mission statementsDevelop engineering submittal packages to customers and reviewing engineering returned drawings in a timely mannerProactively manage the engineering submittal process to obtain customer approval for release to production in a timely manner according to cash flow and project contact requirementsEffectively communicate project expectations to HUBER TECHNOLOGY team members and customer stakeholders in a timely & clear fashion.Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basisEstimate the materials, labor, and resources needed to achieve project goalsCreate or direct the creation of purchase orders to procure equipment, parts or componentsRecommend budget changes where necessary, draft change orders and submit for approval as required by current company policyProactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plansObtain from the customer a confirming written change order for any significant change in project scopeDetermine 3rd party vendors or team support required to successfully complete the projectDelegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel as needed to complete the projectIdentify and resolve issues to complete any open action items to reach project close out in a timely fashionBe a resource to help determine warranty situations, provide information to Field Service, and work order details as neededIdentify and manage project dependencies and critical pathPlan and schedule timelines and milestones using appropriate project management toolsTrack project milestones and deliverablesDevelop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations as required internally and externallyDefine project success criteria and disseminate them to involved cross functional internal team members throughout project life cycleBuild, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the projectConduct completed project analyses and create a recommendations report that identifies successful and unsuccessful project elements and implement continuous improvementsDevelop best practices and tools for project execution and managementPrepare and submit written quarterly status reports for all projects and any other reporting required by the Managing Director or Manufacturing Facility in GermanyFlex responsibilities based on workload to pivot to Application Engineering support as neededPerforms other work-related duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no supervisory duties of staff; however supervision of projects is required.WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting,however, there could be exposure to warehouse / inventory equipment. Potential for exposure to undesirable field elements at Water & Wastewater Treatment or Industrial plant, or contractors/consultants site if a project requires a site-visit for project kick-off or follow-up.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.While performing duties of this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls. Sitting will be for extended periods of timeMust occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 kgsSpecific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions and ability to adjust focusProject Manager should be capable of working under pressure to meet project deadlines.Regular attendance is essential to meet the project deadlines and to provide consistent, quality customer service to our internal cross functional teams and external customersJob will generally be performed in an office environment but may require travel to and from a clients office, production facility, tradeshow, construction jobsite or Water or Wastewater Treatment or Industrial plant. Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally applySafety first mind-set must adhere and follow all company policies and government law requirements on safety either on a jobsite or at an office.POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKThis is a Full-Time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday Friday, 8-5 or an approved flex schedule related to the needs of the role.TRAVELSome travel to fulfill the duties of the role, if commercial and/or technical issues require a visit to customer site or for training, and/or tradeshow attendance as requiredREQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSBachelors degree in a technical or engineering discipline, requiredA minimum of 3 years' work experience in application engineering, inside sales or other relevant technical support preferredExperience working with independent manufacturers representatives and or vendors preferredExposure to sales, sales management and/or project management preferredWater & Wastewater industry or Industrial experience a plusProject Management experience or Certification a plusStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented environmentProficient computer skills - and with all MS-Office suite applications and use of a CRMAbility to read and interpret measurements and technical specifications/details on drawings and documentationFamiliarity with project management software toolsFluent spoken and written English required - French ability a plusAbility to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelinesMaintain updated passport for training and travel
