He/she assists contractors and field personnel providing formwork and shoring assembly and set up expertise and assistance to the construction.The Field Service Technician is responsible to train personnel on the safe and correct assembly of Octaforms forming system and provide detailed certification report upon conclusion of projects.Senior Project ManagerThe following role requires a core skillset of project management. Ideally at the PMP level or equivalent. Heavy construction field or Project management experience an asset. Not an or needs to be an and. Manufacturing experience not required but an asset.Change management, process mapping, and ISO 9001 experience an asset.The ideal candidate has experience in the commercial/industrial concrete project management/Senior superintendent roll.Core Objective:Octaform is seeking a Project Management Professional to oversee an integrated approach to schedule, budget, risk and quality management for field construction of specialized concrete forming projects. This role offers dynamic opportunities to oversee a center of excellence in Project Management and lead various process and change management initiatives in a rapidly growing organization.About Octaform:Octaform has been growing at over 60% compound annual growth and is expected to continue at this rate for the foreseeable future. Our projects are not only increasing in number but increasing in size to include some of the Worlds largest infrastructure projects. To ensure total quality and successful utilization of team members and other resources, Octaform requires an experienced Senior Project Manager to manage full visibility of field projects as well as coordinate with various aspects of our production and logistics team to ensure we assist customers in delivering projects ahead of schedule.The following description includes both Field Construction Project and Production Manager duties, though an integrated master schedule approach is likely optimal.Field Project ManagementDuties and Responsibilities:Manage all active Octaform projects designated as requiring project managementRun detailed project charters, execution planning and weekly meetings with all stakeholdersUse Microsoft Project to plan, optimize and ensure timelines are metFacilitate weekly meetings on respective projectsFacilitate weekly internal Project meetings for total active projects, project pipeline and dotted line requirements of the production planningAttend weekly production planning meeting with Director of Production and Product developmentSupply schedule and demand updates for materials required in the fieldMaintain updated schedules on all projects and production and present weekly in meetingsMonitor contractual requirements and submittalsCoordinate timeline information submittals and responsesWork with production manager to ensure timely material deliveriesManage small amount of procurement activities for projects requiring additional componentsOccasional subcontractor bid and RFP management with other team members for large customersFinancial Management:Chair weekly review of tracked time with Field Services teamDraft invoices for approval by Field Services team at month-endEnsure submittal of Field Services Invoices as well as change ordersWork with sales to submit change ordersReviewSpecial Procurement:Administer procurement for specialized components for biogas tanks such as stainless steel fabricated items,Work with Director of Quality to finalize procurement policies and procedures for new product linesSkills:Strong verbal and written communication abilitiesAble to manage expectations with demanding customersStrong ability to align resources, chair focused meetings, define outcomes and assign clear actions and deadlinesAble to work well under pressure and with a range of personalitiesAble to communicate to promote collaboration versus information silos and project execution in isolation (promote all parties on large project confronting all issues in and out of our scope to succeed together).Understand the construction procurement processes and models (ie CMAR, Design-Build, Design-bid-build, EPC, EPCM) and understand stakeholders during various phases of decision making prior to bid awardExperience in heavy construction, infrastructure projects, and concrete experience is idealAble to deliver detailed reports and communicate key priorities (macro, micro, critical path and critical risks)Production Planning & Production ManagementDuties and ResponsibilitiesManage a list of all active projectsRun weekly update meetings on all projects over $100K valueMaintain an execution planRoll-up execution action items and risks into salesforce.com actionsChair a weekly internal field services meeting every MondayDistribute tasks and deadlines clearlyFollow-up on deadlinesAttend a weekly in-depth production schedule review (Production Manager will Chair)Liase daily with production manager to share ground truth (you are their biggest customer in the organization, they are your most important supplier)Provide clear input based on field realities as to projects and priorities and work to adjust production to meet objectives and commitments.Provide input to the Director of Quality with respect to new suppliers quality programs, procurement policies etc.Conduct quality management activities as required by ISO 9001 processProvide leadership and formalize processes where there are deficienciesRespond/conduct QC reviews with team members and customers, including Incident reporting.
