Vacancy Notice: Full Time Sales Support Agent Canadian market Remote based - (in Canada) Discover The world is a leading travel industry General Sales Agent, representing multiple internationalcompanies in Canada and across the globe. Our clients include organizations in the business of aviation, hotels, car rental, cruising, tourism authorities and travel technology. Our company is growing and were looking to fill this important and diverse role. Overall objective To inform and assist Canadian travel agents in their efforts to sell the products and services of our clients and to provide first-contact support and solutions related to service- or operational issues. Key Functions Handleincoming calls and emails from Canadian travel agents Provide assistance to the travel agents with requests related to reservations, ticket issuance, application of fare rules, groups, travel disruptions, refunds and general trouble-shooting Follow-up with correspondence as required Assist with the creation of reports and statistics Provide back-up to the other members of the Canada sales support team Assist with data-base management and e-blast creation and distribution Provide special assistance to our sales managers as required Experience and Expertise Required Good telephone manner and written correspondence Must be well versed in at least one GDS (preferably Amadeus) with good knowledge of airline reservations and ticketing, as well as other travel company products and procedures. (hotels, cruise, car rental) Able to issue and re-issue FIT and groups tickets as needed,handle fare and refundcalculations Proven experience (2+ years) in a similar role in the travel industry Proficient at using MS packages (Word & XL & some experience with PPT) Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
