The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a book of business in our commercial division, servicing clients in a courteous and professional manner, and assisting the producer in obtaining, maintaining, and expanding business.RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for managing a book of business, which focuses on maintaining relationships with a number of associations Manage account documentation (i.e., routine inquires, quotes, binders, statement of values, insurance contracts, endorsements, cancellations, etc.) Review and assess applications, bind coverages, calculate premiums, issue certificates of insurance, document policies, and report claims Ensure that premium with applicable taxes and fees are collected prior to binding, either through the credit card site, cheque, email transfer, CAFO, etc. Upload policy documents within portals Ensure that a high level of service in maintained when answering a large number of client calls during renewal periods Set clear expectation for client and business partners by providing same day response timeReview clients current coverage and exposures, loss experience and analyze risk to determine the product/ service requirements Works closely with Producers and other staff on all aspects of client service, marketing, and renewal while adhering to best practices and standard proceduresInitiate Account Planning with Producer 100 days in advance of the renewalIn collaboration with Producers; coordinate, support plans, discuss arising issues and create comprehensive plans for existing clientsDevelops new business from existing accounts and assigned leads, and contributes to meeting departmental production goals. Identifies and follows-up on cross-selling opportunities when appropriateResponsible for the preparation of proposals for prospect and stewardship reviews for existing clientsMaintain up-to-date EPIC workflow documentation and ensures workflows are followedParticipate actively in cross-sell campaigns and other initiatives as requiredActively develop an increased knowledge of related insurance products and client needs May participate in or conduct client meetings when necessaryParticipate in training and professional development courses to enhance skills and industry knowledgeMaintain positive working relationships with clients, staffs, other departments and officesOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTSMinimum 5 years of commercial insurance experience requiredUniversity degree preferredR.I.B.O license requiredWorking towards C.I.P. or C.A.I.B. designationSuperb interpersonal skills and attention to detailAbility to be a self starter with strong written and oral communication skills as well as organizational skills Skills in Outlook, Excel, Word and EPICNavacord is actively committed to support diversity, equity, and inclusion.
