About our client:Our client has been in business for over 50 years, recognized as one of Canada's foremost master distributors, specializing in electrical, electronic data, wire cable accessories and telecom. They are looking for an Account Manager to join their team based out of their Abbotsford office, managing a client base in BC and Alberta. This is an in-office position based in Abbotsford with some travel to visit clients in the field.The role includes a base salary, commission structure, mileage for car use, RRSP matching and benefits. Key Accountabilities(65%) Consistently exceed customer expectations when processing orders and answering technical questions while offering value added solutions to each customer exchange;(20%) Aggressively and consistently research new business opportunities and market the companys products and services to new potential clients; Including in person customer engagement(10%) Conduct market research of products and pricing for the purpose of promoting new products;(5%) Work cooperatively with teammates in the administration of sales transactions. Responsibilities:Contacts current and prospective clients to identify their need for existing and/or new productsResponds to and processes incoming calls and ordersOpens new accounts and maintains existing customer baseEnters orders into system and liaises with operations and purchasing teams through the processMaintains knowledge base on current products and learns about new productsProvides pricing quotations and follows-up on quotesProvides basic technical support on productsBuilds strong relationships for repeat opportunities Qualifications:Post-Secondary education is considered an assetProven sales accomplishments in the electrical industry we are open to inside or outside experience or some connection to the electrical industry and a disposition towards salesProficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and ExcelSuperior interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to develop long-term client relationshipsA highly professional approach to businessExceptional organization skills, ability to multitask and a keen eye for detailTechnically proficient to quickly learn and understand productsAbility to develop quotations & project bid packaging / pricing / presentationsKnowledge of the electrical industry
