We are seeking a strategic and collaborative HR Business Partner to join our client's team in Victoria. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees across various business units, providing guidance on all aspects of human resources.This is a 6-month contract position with the possibility of extension or permanency. The role follows a hybrid work model, with two days per week on-site at our clients Victoria office and three days working from home.Responsibilities:Provide HR support to professional employee groups across various locations in Canada.Advise and coach managers on leadership development, talent and performance management, change initiatives, employee engagement, and effective communication.Develop and implement key HR programs such as onboarding, engagement, performance management, and compensation.Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on recruitment strategies and workforce planning initiatives.Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies; conduct investigations and maintain accurate records.Leverage HR data and collaborate with the HR team to enhance service delivery and drive continuous improvement.Qualifications:Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Organizational Development, or a related field.5-10 years of progressive HR experience. Experience working in unionized environments is an asset.Proven experience delivering HR solutions and support to professional and managerial client groups.Strong knowledge of employment legislation and best practices in human resources management.Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
