Whissell: Building More Than a JobOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager in Lethbridge to oversee and drive the successful execution of civil infrastructure and construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from planning through to completion. You manage client relationships, and strive to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled project manager with a strong background in civil construction, particularly in earthworks and utility infrastructure.Job ResponsibilitiesHave a thorough knowledge of the plans and specifications of the projectEstablish and maintain professional relationships with all project stakeholdersEmphasize safety as a number one value of Whissell including ensuring that safety policies and safe work methods are implemented at the JobsiteBe responsible for production and cost reporting analysisSubcontract managementChange Order managementDevelop, monitor, update and communicate the project progress schedule with the Regional Operations Manager and SuperintendentsContract negotiation and managementConduct all meetings with the Owner and subcontractorsHave a working knowledge of the duties of the Superintendents and Foreman and assist as requiredOversee all permits required by the projectCompile Job Projection Cost Reports for Whissell managementEnsure compliance and monitor employee compliance with Whissell and local Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment regulations and standardsPosition is based on a 40-hour workweek, additional hours may be required during peak construction months.Additional responsibilities as directedQualifications5+ years related underground utility infrastructure and/or earthwork experience.
