Environmental Specialist Location: Calgary or EdmontonWe are seeking an Environmental Professional / Project Coordinator to join our team, supporting high-profile, multidisciplinary assessment and remediation projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical and organizational skills, capable of coordinating field programs and contributing to environmental solutions with real-world impact.Key Responsibilities:Project CoordinationCoordinate field programs, logistics, and subcontractors.Prepare proposals, budgets, and progress reports.Support project delivery in line with health & safety, quality, and budget targets.Conduct stakeholder engagement and manage regulatory documentation.Assist with scheduling and project invoicing.Technical SupportExecute and support environmental assessment and remediation projects:Phase II ESAsGroundwater/Surface Water MonitoringTier 2 and Site-Specific Risk AssessmentsRemedial Action Plans and system implementationRisk Management Plans and Conceptual Site ModelsConduct fieldwork (soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment sampling).Review data, supervise reporting, and mentor junior staff.Qualifications:Degree or diploma in environmental science or related field.510 years of environmental consulting experience, with a focus on assessment and remediation.Strong knowledge of Alberta regulatory requirements and closure processes.Experience with field sampling methods and environmental drilling techniques.Registered or eligible for registration with a recognized Alberta professional organization (APEGA, AIA, ASET, etc.).Additional Assets:Alberta Tier 2, SST, or Risk Assessment training.Experience with MTBE remediation.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GIS, and environmental software (AutoCAD, Trimble, FieldShare, etc.).Valid safety certifications (H2S, First Aid, WHMIS, etc.) and a clean driving record.
