Our donors are vital to our mission of delivering compassionate care, research, and education.As we celebrate over 130 years of history and look forward to our new hospital on the Jim Pattison Medical Campus, we aim to push the boundaries of innovation, research, and patient-centered care.The OpportunityThis is a leadership role impacting healthcare and research across BC. As the Executive Director of Development, you will join a successful team to ensure the foundations long-term success and impactful programs.You will strategize and implement a comprehensive fundraising campaign, engaging donors to support Providence Programs, and providing your team with current tactics and strategies to build momentum. You will lead major and leadership gift fundraisers to identify, qualify, cultivate, and solicit donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations, while fostering a culture aligned with the foundations core practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop a prospect pipeline to ensure a healthy donor base.Lead donor engagement strategies and meetings related to Providence Programs.Plan engagement events and stewardship activities.Create business and work plans, including budgets for fundraising and operations.Use metrics to drive campaign results.Maintain and strengthen relationships at Providence.The CandidateThe ideal candidate will have a successful track record in major gift fundraising within hospitals, healthcare foundations, or academic development offices, aligned with our vision and values. You should demonstrate strategic and operational planning skills, leadership, sound judgment, and relational abilities. A post-secondary degree in a relevant field is required.
