Through our enriching internship program, we help develop the next generation of engineers and technologists.As an intern, you will help develop our industry-leading simulation software while gaining real experience in your field of study. You will work on impactful projects to help maintain, advance, and accelerate ANSYS products.This is a 40-hour per week paid position that will start in August 2025 and conclude in December 2025. It is a fully remote opportunity.RESPONSIBILITIES Build tools that automate software development/testing infrastructure processes. Advance software robustness by testing and verifying defect fixes. Conduct interactive and automated testing of user interfaces and simulation results. Learn and employ the best software practices including design and code review. Experience advanced source code management, full life-cycle-software development. Attend meetings, progress reviews and gain real-life experience as an advanced coder.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Pursuing a BS or MS degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, numerical methods, circuit simulation, device modeling or related technical degree. Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program in Canada. Good programming skills in Python or C++.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Candidates with high levels of motivation in coding, who participate in programming competitions or maintain/publish code on GitHub. Familiarity with OpenGL concepts, rendering, scene visualization, triangulation of geometries. Familiarity with Finite element mesh generation is a plus. Knowledge of scripting and shells like csh, bash, VS-Code.
