As a global-leading health and well-being provider encompassing physical, mental and financial health TELUS Health is improving health outcomes for consumers, patients, healthcare professionals, employers and employees.The Business Development Director will be an integral part of the Absence, Disability and Workers Compensation Solutions Business Development team, and participate in activities that lead to the overall success of line of business and support TELUS Health's broader corporate objectives.The Business Development Director, Absence, Disability and Workers Compensation will be responsible for generating revenue and achieving individual sales targets.Responsibilities:Develop and execute an individual business development plan for Absence, Disability and Workers Compensation SolutionsFocus primarily on lead generation activities within the region to drive client activity and new opportunitiesLead identified client opportunities (including RFI, RFPs) with support of broader team of subject matter experts and regional team leadsDevelop strategic relationships with key contacts from prospects and/or partnersDrive up-selling and cross-selling activities within TELUS Health's broader book of businessDemonstrate an ability to leverage resources and strategically manage the growth of customer relationshipsSupport client strategies that bridge multiple line of businessParticipate fully in national sales campaigns and regional conferencesCoordinate and participate in sales/marketing events, as requiredSucceeding as a Business Development Director, Absence, Disability and Workers Compensation will require the following core qualifications and skills:Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience requiredMinimum 5-7+ years of progressive experience in business development, with a proven track record in lead generation and sales opportunity managementMust have Industry related experience (absence and disability management, workers compensation, group benefits, occupational health, employee health and wellbeing programs)Strong business acumen and experience with client strategy developmentProven experience developing business development plansStrong interpersonal skills coupled with excellent written and oral communication skillsProven organizational skills, professional maturityTime management skills combined with strategic thinking abilities related to priority management and multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
