In particular, the pharmacy department is embarking on automation of the medication dispensing process and the advancement of medication related practices. The project manager will work with the pharmacy leadership team to support the planning for pharmacy projects to ensure that scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources and risks are managed during each project phase (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling and closing). In doing so this position will utilize critical thinking, collaborative approaches and align to best practices to ensure the highest quality, effective and efficient system of care is achieved. At the same time the project manager will ensure that the project(s) abide(s) by the directions outlined in the Hospitals policies, procedures & guidelines to ensure overall THP operating environment is effectively prepared to support and accept changes brought about by service changes associated with the rollout of automation. The Project Manager is the primary liaison between the Pharmacy team, internal clinical stakeholder groups, and the external partners such as service providers and vendors to ensure optimal, collaborative and comprehensive planning.The Pharmacy department is an integral part of Patient Services and is accountable for delivering on our patient care priorities through medication distribution activities as well as clinical care. We hope to enhance care through large-scale initiatives, deriving greater clinical capacity, and initiatives that require the collaboration and planning across a multitude of enabling teams.The Pharmacy Program, as part of Patient Services, is seeking a Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate exemplifies a commitment to Trillium Health Partners vision and values, demonstrates dedication to a patient-centered approach to delivering quality patient care and a commitment to anti-black racism, equity and inclusion.You should apply if:You are looking for hands-on experience working with point of care clinical teams and leadersYou are looking for opportunities to deliver and develop skills in project management, change management and stakeholder engagementYou are looking for a progressive opportunity to add valuable experiences to your career journey while enhancing patient careAccountabilities:Oversee all elements of pharmacy projects and system level project plan developmentSupport the governance on the achievement of project goals.Accountable for implementing all necessary processes and practices to ensure the pharmacy portfolio is delivering the project objectives and is successfully achieving the project's goalsSupport the rollout of projects such as the automation of the pharmacy and ensure program governance regarding the achievement of project goalsMonitor and report on progress, problems and solutions of the project to all stakeholders and escalate issues as appropriateEngage and communicate with stakeholders on an ongoing basis and ensure changing resource and project requirements are met and understoodParticipate in the creation and delivery of innovative presentations and proposals to the Pharmacy Department and all levels of the organization;Demonstrated effectiveness at leading and working with teamsEffective interpersonal communications skills and ability to successfully build relationshipsSupport other Patient Services Committee program projects as required.Support a multi-disciplinary project team through all phases of the project life cycle, providing coaching, motivation and guidance throughout the duration of projects; andLiaise with internal and external stakeholders including private sector partners to ensure the successful completion of project deliverables.Qualifications:Masters degree or equivalent experience preferredA Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent preferred.Change Management certification an asset;Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management or leading complex change initiatives in healthcare environments such as hospitals, government or private sector.Experience in a senior level project management capacity (supporting projects with a Director level and above).Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills.Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.Knowledge of systems integration.Relevant experience in building and maintaining partnerships.Excellent analytical skills to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources.Superior writing skills to communicate information effectively to stakeholders, with the proven ability to explain and communicate complex topics using plain language.Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs of senior leaders and clinicians.Demonstrated effectiveness at leading and working with large teams and complex initiatives.Effective interpersonal communications skills and ability to successfully build relationships.Demonstrated ability to develop effective and comprehensive reports and presentations for various audiences, including executives, administrators and clinicians.Ability to perform duties under deadline pressure in a fast-paced environment.Thorough understanding of operational needs of inpatient care, health system flow and operations and demonstrates ability to recognize and remediate gaps is an asset.Comprehensive experience planning, managing and implementing large scale change management, quality improvement and health system design workComprehensive knowledge and experience with hospital operations and environments;Superior analytical, critical thinking and problem solving abilitiesExperience working with a hospital pharmacy is an asset.Experience organizing and facilitating meetings with multiple stakeholdersSuperior interpersonal communications skills and ability to successfully build relationshipsStrong understanding of THPs strategic planProficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft suite skillsExcellence in performance and attendance requiredLocation:We offer employees, in roles that are conducive to remote work; the flexibility and the right mix of remote and in-office work (approximately 80/20). The primary workspace will be remote work from home, but there will be times when onsite presence is appropriate just as there will be times when onsite presence may not be possible.The expectation is that remote work locations, as part of the Flex First program, will be in the employees place of residence, and adhere to all THP policies and procedures, with special consideration towards privacy.
