This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative and team-centred legal department, providing crucial support in labour and employment law matters. Based in Mississauga, this full-time role offers the chance to work alongside a knowledgeable and supportive team, contributing significantly to cross-functional initiatives through the provision of legal and business advice.What you'll do:Provide guidance in the area of labour law to various business partnersPrepare pleadings and other legal documents for administrative and labour mattersSupport in the area of employment law by preparing agreements, policies and related documentsIdentify potential legal and regulatory issues and partner with necessary business units for solutionsProvide legal and business advice for cross-functional initiativesManage external counsel effectively when engagedWhat you bring:Minimum 8 years of labour law experience at a leading law firm or in-house legal departmentMembership in good standing with the Ontario or British Columbia Law SocietyExcellent drafting and negotiation skillsAbility to prioritize competing demands effectivelyStrong business acumen and interpersonal skillsWorking knowledge of French would be an assetWhat's next:Ready for an exciting new challenge?
