The Remediation Program Management team is a national team serving large clients across Canada. We are known for providing top quality technical work to our clients, and as a result have a strong backlog of work. Many of our clients are long-term clients seeking WSPs expertise in managing the assessment and remediation of their Sites. In this Technical Director role (engineering, geoscience or other applicable background), you would be responsible for the technical direction of a large portfolio, primarily consisting of downstream oil and gas Sites, with potential support for midstream and upstream Sites. Responsibilities Review deliverables such as Phase 1 and Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessments, Detailed Site Investigations, regulatory forms, and other technical reports. Mentor Junior and Intermediate project managers, report authors, and field staff. Support Project Managers with technical presentations and communications with clients and regulators. Assist leadership in client management and achieving client objectives. Contribute to Requests for Proposals as needed. Conduct site visits to support field staff. Lead by example in health and safety practices both in the field and office. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, geoscience, or relevant discipline. 10-15 years of experience in technical direction of contaminated sites in British Columbia. Eligible or eligible to register as a Professional in British Columbia (e.g., P.Eng, P.Geo, etc.). Strong understanding of BC Contaminated Sites Regulation and Environmental Management Act; knowledge of Alberta regulations is a plus. Experience bringing sites to closure within the last three years. Able to become a Contaminated Sites Approved Professional within 1-2 years. Strong mentoring skills and a commitment to fostering an inclusive team environment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, PowerBI, and Oracle. Compensation Salary range: $110,000 - $140,000, based on experience and location.
