We are looking for one (1) full-time Youth & Family Counsellor to join our Lethbridge Emergency Youth Shelter Program. Role Summary Reporting to the Program Management, the Youth & Family Counsellor will be the primary worker with children, youth, and families, working on rotating shifts to provide 24/7 coverage. The role involves being a key team member delivering high-quality services within a structured setting, ensuring safety and compliance with Wood''s Homes'' standards. Note: Woods Homes pays a shift premium of $3.00/hour for hours worked between 11:00 pm - 7:00 am. Responsibilities Implement and maintain a structured setting that fosters personal and social development for clients. Participate actively in supervisory and team meetings, retreats, planning sessions, and in-service training. Handle therapeutic responsibilities for children, youth, and families, including attending case conferences, intervention planning, consultations, school and medical appointments, and family meetings. Maintain the living environment of the program to meet licensing standards. Perform tasks related to program operation, such as meal preparation, cleaning, and transportation of clients. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Diploma or undergraduate degree in Social Sciences, Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Nursing, or related field, with a minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience. Current CPR and First Aid certifications. Experience working with youth is preferred. Proof of professional registration may be required depending on the qualification.
