About the Role: Reporting directly to the CEO, youll take the lead on keeping Saskatchewans provincial health system securefrom cyber threats to real-world risks. This role involves more than managing systems and protocols; its about shaping the future of healthcare by ensuring innovation and security go hand in hand. You will partner with clinical leaders, IT architects, and policy makers to break down silos, ensuring security as an enabler for patient-focused innovation. As the strategic leader for eHealths approach to IT and physical security, risk, and disaster recovery, you will guide Saskatchewan in digital health advancements, especially with emerging technologies like AI. Youll work across teams, promote collaboration, and build partnerships to ensure security supports progress. You will also steward approaches to AI risk governance, cloud-native security, and privacy by design to keep Saskatchewan ahead of evolving threats. What You''ll Bring: Executive presence with strong leadership and influencing skills Proven ability to assess risk appetite and guide strategic decisions A collaborative approach fostering trust and alignment Political and organizational savvy in the public sector Deep knowledge of information security, with credentials such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA Expertise in security frameworks like ISO 27001/27002, NIST CSF Experience leading cross-functional security councils or risk committees Success in aligning security investments with organizational strategy and ROI Understanding of identity management, healthcare system integration, and public-sector governance Experience working with boards and executive leadership This senior leadership role requires a technically skilled, big-picture thinker who is a trusted advisor, capable of connecting with diverse stakeholders and inspiring confidence.
