Professional matchmaker. Catch Recruitment is seeking a professional CPA for our client in a small city in Southern Alberta . The client is a medium-sized accounting firm with a broad client base across various sectors including Agriculture, Oil and Gas services, Retail, Professional Services, Manufacturing, Rental, and Investments. The role involves working closely with all members of the firm to provide outstanding accounting, tax, and consulting services. The successful candidate will initially work as an associate to learn the firms processes and understand client needs. After demonstrating professionalism and capability, there is potential to become a partner of the firm. Responsibilities: Manage a client group with revenue between $250,000 and $500,000+ (private enterprise clients) after training. Maintain a professional attitude and appearance in the office and community. Develop and maintain client relationships. Facilitate client meetings (with training). Prepare and review client files, mainly on a compilation basis, with some review and audit engagements. Prepare tax plans and filings, and provide business consulting as needed. Assist with management and office administration duties. Suggest improvements to firm procedures and processes for increased efficiency and budget management. Qualifications: CPA Designation. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Aspiring to build a career in public practice. Experience with year-end review and compilation engagement files and delivery. Experience with tax filings including T1s, T2s, T3s, T3010s, T2054s, T2057s, and other CRA requirements. Proficiency with accounting software (Caseware, Profile, Sage 50, QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online) and Microsoft Office. Self-motivated, eager to learn, and team-oriented.
