The selected individual will be responsible for strategic revenue targeting and will lead and develop a team of professional salespeople.The role requires complete responsibility for generating top-line revenue to meet or exceed budget expectations. You will develop and implement an effective revenue-generating plan designed to achieve the highest possible occupancy rates and revenue.Additionally, the candidate will be involved in key sales initiatives, including sales blitzes, familiarization trips, client events, and trade shows in Canada and the USA. A strong online presence and awareness of current trends in both branded and non-branded segments of the industry are essential.The ideal candidate should be logical and analytical, capable of breaking down problems to focus on facts, without being swayed by emotional arguments. They should demonstrate independence in their work and bring a mature, productive mindset to leading their sales team. A proven track record of success in managing major group and transit sales is required.Preference will be given to candidates currently serving as a Director of Sales and Marketing, particularly those with extensive experience in a four-star property in Eastern Canada or elsewhere. Will also consider a strong Sales Manager who would currently be senior in their role in a bigger box property or Director of Group Sales - would need to be a driver and strategic natural leader ready for your next step.
