The GM ensures the highest standards of safety, customer experience, business efficiency, and environmental responsibility. This role requires a dynamic leader with experience in both adventure operations and recreational management.Key Responsibilities:Operational ManagementOversee daily operations across all adventure and recreational offerings.Develop and enforce SOPs for tour operations, safety protocols, and guest services.Manage inventory and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and vehicles.Ensure smooth coordination between departments including activities, hospitality, logistics, and maintenance.Strategic LeadershipDevelop short-term and long-term business strategies to drive growth.Identify and develop new adventure and recreational products or locations.Analyze market trends and customer feedback to adapt services and offerings.Staff & Team ManagementLead recruitment, training, and development of staff including guides, activity leaders, hospitality, and support personnel.Promote a culture of safety, service excellence, and team collaboration.Conduct performance reviews and implement professional development plans.Guest Experience & Customer ServiceOversee guest relations, ensuring high satisfaction across all touchpoints.Resolve complaints or incidents promptly and professionally.Monitor and improve guest feedback scores and repeat visitor rates.Marketing & Business DevelopmentCollaborate with marketing to promote offerings through digital, print, and travel industry channels.Build strategic partnerships with tour operators, hotels, schools, and corporates.Represent the company at tourism expos and networking events.Health, Safety & Environmental ComplianceEnsure compliance with local, regional, and international safety regulations.Oversee risk management, emergency preparedness, and staff safety training.Implement sustainable tourism and eco-friendly operational practices.Qualifications:Education:Bachelors degree in Tourism, Hospitality, Business, Outdoor Recreation, or related field.Experience:510 years in a senior management role in adventure tourism, hospitality, or outdoor recreation.Experience managing diverse teams and multiple operational sites.Demonstrated success in business development and guest experience management.Skills & Competencies:Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of outdoor safety, risk assessment, and recreational equipment.
