Our clients include automotive Tier 1s & 2s, as well as green energy, pharmaceutical, and infrastructure sectors.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a General Machinist / Tool Maker located in Concord, ON. The General Machinist / Tool Maker will be responsible for machining and fabricating of precision stamping tools, jigs, and fixtures. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting technical drawings, setting up and operating machine tools, setting up and operating stamping presses, performing precision measurements, and ensuring the quality of finished tools and products. The General Machinist / Tool Maker will also be responsible for troubleshooting tooling issues ensuring that all tools conform to specifications and operate efficiently in the manufacturing process.QualificationsExperience with tool fabrication, jig and fixture construction, and precision machiningAbility to interpret technical drawingsProficiency in operating machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, CNC machines, stamping presses, and grindersSkills in precision measurements and quality controlProblem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot tooling and machining issuesEffective communication skills and ability to collaborate in teams.Experience with CNC Programming using Mastercam will be a strong asset.
