Job Overview To identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential individual, corporate and foundation donors to maximize long-term philanthropic support for Parkinson Canada. Through detailed research and data analysis, this position will provide insights into prospective donors'''' financial ability, philanthropic interests, and giving potential, helping to inform fundraising strategies and prospect cultivation to lead to major gifts. The incumbent is also responsible for supporting campaign planning efforts, by assessing the feasibility of philanthropic support through careful analysis of portfolios and pipelines, modelling around campaign potential, and providing analysis around revenue projections. What Youll Be Doing Prospect Research and Development You will become the driving force behind our strategy, using the most innovative prospect research methodologies to expand and elevate the donor pipeline. With a focus on major donors ($25,000 and above, with an emphasis on $100,000+), you will find the people, organizations, foundations and corporations whose passion aligns with ours. By analyzing data, diving deep into constituent information, and drawing from a wide range of trusted sources, you will reveal hidden opportunities. Your research will provide invaluable insights into current and prospective donors, enhancing their profiles and ensuring we connect with them at just the right moment. You will leave no stone unturned, conducting advanced research that includes relationship mapping, risk analysis, philanthropic trends, and more. Every discovery will be transformed into a strategy that propels us forward, and your results will shape the future of Parkinson Canadas mission. Strategy Development Your role will extend beyond research to actively contributing to the overall strategy that powers our growth. Working closely with the Philanthropy team and leadership, you will help develop and refine processes for prospect assignment and evaluation, ensuring that every opportunity is maximized. You will be our guide, leading the charge on donor persona creation and segment strategy, offering advice on complex cases, and helping others learn from your deep expertise. Every piece of data you gather, every insight you provide, will lead to stronger relationships and bigger results for the cause. Working across teams, you will conduct campaign feasibility and valuation analysis for Leadership and support report preparation for advisory groups on campaign potential and year over year revenue projections. Portfolio Management In partnership with our Major Gifts team, you will ensure a carefully managed prospect pipeline, constantly refining it to balance capacity, stage-aging, and moves management. You will work with tools like Raisers Edge analyzing data to optimize our strategy, address gaps, and ensure the right balance of prospects to meet our goals. Support the Philanthropy leads with respect to proposal pipeline and portfolio management; prospect clearance system; maintaining top prospect lists; forecasting and goal setting. Your management will enable us to stay ahead, targeting the right prospects at the right time, and ensuring every opportunity is maximized to its fullest potential. Qualifications 5 to 7 years of experience in prospect research methodologies and fundraising principles, ideally within a dynamic charity with diverse, high-performing teams. Proven track record of identifying and evaluating major gift prospects, with a keen focus on securing high-level donors who have an affinity for the cause. Expertise in advanced research techniques: from relationship mapping to capacity calculations and risk analysis, you know how to uncover the hidden potential in every prospect. A knack for creating compelling donor personas and segmentation strategies, backed by data-driven insights that pave the way for powerful engagement. Hands-on experience managing portfolios, moves management, and pipeline evaluationsensuring every donor is on the right path to give. An expert at data analytics, custom report creation, and optimizing insights. Deep understanding of best practices in database and records managementbecause we know that behind every successful move, theres data that makes it happen. Self-Management: You take the lead, managing your workload with a blend of initiative and drive, knowing how to prioritize and keep tasks moving forward without missing a beat. Fundraising Know-How: You understand the key fundraising methodologies and principles, and youre well-versed in using specialized, fee-based research databases to find the insights that matter most.
