About The Job Reporting to the Chief Executive Director (CEO), the Executive Director, People and Culture will provide both strategic leadership and operational oversight of Atira Womens Resource Societys People & Culture department, in alignment with Atiras mission, values and strategic objectives. You have oversights of the People & Culture operations and HR matters for all companies, including recruitment, employee relations & performance management, engagement, and labour relations. Reporting directly to the CEO and as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will oversee the full employee lifecycle, foster an inclusive and innovative workplace culture, and champion equity, anti-oppression, and feminist principles throughout the organization. You will be a trusted advisor to the Board of Directors and external partners, lead complex labor relations and organizational development initiatives, and ensure the People & Culture strategy enables Atira to deliver exceptional employee experience. You also Develop and implement a comprehensive People & Culture strategy aligned with Atiras mission and values, serve as a key change leader and advisor to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors on employee related matters, oversee business partnering strategic initiatives with Atiras department directors and program managers to provide people practices guidance, education and standards, act as the primary contact and cultivate a positive, collaborative relationship with Atiras union and association stakeholders to jointly deliver an excellent employee experience, foster a vibrant culture at Atira by championing people-centric approaches to change management and internal communications, identify and mitigate key employee experience risks; foster a strong sense of organizational identity and internal community. You will seek ways to ensure the organization addresses and removes barriers for inclusion ensuring accessible language, policy, and culture, particularly focusing on colonial harms with an understanding of our responsibilities to decolonize our systems. Qualifications Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience; additional relevant certifications or training are a plus (including CPHR designation). A masters degree in related field is an asset. Several years of progressive experience in human resources management, preferably in a non-profit or social services environment. In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practice and ability to manage complex employee relations issues. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
