You will closely collaborate with the Lead .NET Software Engineer in growing a performant .NET engineering team to aid transform Guidepoints technology landscape into modern, highly available, scalable enterprise PaaS-based solutions.This position is hybrid in Toronto.What Youll Do:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutionsMentor and provide guidance to junior engineers to help them grow and develop their skillsLead the team in adopting a quality-centric approach to software developmentDevelop and implement processes and procedures to ensure software qualityMaintain and improve codebase integrity by actively participating in code reviews and proactively identifying refactoring opportunities in maintained applications.Develop and support scalable web/API applications using.NET core and Azure Platform ServicesRefactor legacy components using innovative/scalable platformDecompose portions of the legacy application into APIs running on App ServicesWork with large database schemas that would include adding and updating tables and rowsImplement integration and convention testsWhat You Have:8+ years of experience in .NET development using C#Experience with OOP principles and patterns, developing and delivering large scale distributed systemsStrong adherence to object-oriented programming principles and patterns, developing and delivering large scale distributed systemsProficient in grooming backlog items and ensuring that they are engineer readyExperience in .NET Core 3.1+Experience in xUnitExperience with ORMs such as Entity Framework Core and DapperProficient in Data Modeling and SQLExperience building data integrations and other system integrations using different technologies like Message Queues, Kafka etc.Experience leveraging issue-tracking systems/wikis for documentation (Jira/Confluence)Willingness to learn designing fault-tolerant architecture on cloud deployments (load balancing, clustering, reducing/eliminating single points of failure, etc)10+ years of experience developing software using C# and .NET tech stack4+ years of leading software engineering teamsHands-on experience with Azure platform servicesExperienced in architecture diagraming tools such as Visio or LucidChart.Experience with developing applications following CQRS and DDD.Experience with Aspect Oriented Programming.Experience in Data Management methodologies2+ years of experience in implementing CI/CD pipelinesWhat We Offer:Paid Time OffCompany RRSP MatchDevelopment opportunities through the LinkedIn Learning platformAbout Guidepoint:Guidepoint is a leading research enablement platform designed to advance understanding and empower our clients decision-making process.
