It takes a society.MAKING AN IMPACTCCS is looking for a passionate and strategic Business Partner to assist with transforming organizational practices and drive measurable outcomes. Reporting to the Director, HR Business Partners, you will collaborate with leaders to optimize team performance, facilitate change management at the team level, and ensure that all aspects of talent management align to the overall strategic plan. You will be joining a People, Culture and Inclusion team that is focused on creating an exceptional employee experience.What Youll Be DoingProvide front line consultation support to leaders across the organizationInteract with client groups daily and provide advisory services on topics such as compensation, benefits, succession planning, employment law, employee relation issues, performance management and developmentSupport leaders with workplace investigations where needed.Partner with people leaders, and the Talent Acquisition team to develop effective recruitment strategies and ensure a smooth hiring and onboarding process.Support people leaders with structural changes in order to best align teams with evolving priorities.Work with leaders to set and achieve individual and team goals, that support the organizations overarching strategy.Assist in the execution of annual engagement initiatives by debriefing leaders on survey results and partnering to build team action-planning sessions.Participate in national HR team meetings to share portfolio updates and provide feedback on HR initiatives.Cultivate employee successEngage in new hire onboarding to ensure smooth integration into the organization by providing tools, resources, and initial change management support during the probationary period.Ensure employee well-being through regular meetings to address topics such as, but not limited to: Return to office, leaves, accommodation requests, management challenges, workload concerns etc.,Provide support with bi-monthly Ask HR sessions to assist in answering nationwide employee questions and concerns.Customize and lead hybrid team-sessions, to identify and build off team strengths, promoting teamwork and creating overall stronger team connections.Work with employees, leaders, and the learning team to provide development opportunities where appropriate.Support HR compliance and drive HR initiatives organization-wideSupport clients in implementing nationwide HR programs, mandates, and policies by ensuring alignment with CCS objectives and delivering effective, efficient service across all key initiatives.Assist in regular policy and compliance training sessions as updates arise.Support and guide policy compliance through the validation of employee information with HR Operations, assist people leaders in understanding compliance reports, and promote policy updates amongst clients.Collaborate with Finance in order to reconcile vacancies, hires, and overall employee changes to ensure budget alignmentPromote a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with The Occupational Health & Safety Act, its regulations, and the Societys Health & Safety Policy, while also acting as an ambassador of workplace safety by assisting in emergent situations as a first-aid attendant when in office.Participate in any ad-hoc HR duties as required.Contribute to our culture of diversity, inclusion, belonging and equity (DIBE) by ensuring that all staff feel represented, valued, and heard across all aspects of their identity, including gender, age, religion, ethnicity, nationality, race, and sexuality.QualificationsAt least five years of proven business partner experience, collaborating with, and guiding leaders across all levels of the organization.Bachelors degree in HR Management, Industrial Relations, Commerce, or other relevant fields of study.CPHR/CHRP designation is preferredEnglish is required; French/Bilingualism (French /English) is an asset due to the organizations nationwide operations.Experience providing coaching to employees and leaders with a coaching certification viewed as an asset.Leadership capabilities, and the ability to establish harmonious partnerships and relationships with various internal stakeholders.Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with colleagues at all levels of the businessMust be able to handle confidential and sensitive information and exercise great discretion.Knowledge and understanding of local labor laws; ability to keep on top of changes/modifications to legislation.
