Expand your security expertise as a Corporate Security Advisor with the City of Edmonton!As the Corporate Security Advisor you will provide professional security direction and consultation to civic management to enable departments to effectively establish and administer cost effective protection programs. In this role you will work alongside a diverse team of security experts with a strong sense of ethics and integrity, while deploying best practices that are prevalent in the security industry today.What will you do?Provide professional consultation, establish and develop policy & procedures to all City of Edmonton DepartmentsIdentify threats, determining countermeasures and making recommendations to reduce vulnerabilityPerform security inspections and audits on City of Edmonton facilitiesEvaluate and recommend security systemsInvestigate incidents of theft, fraud, vandalism and other criminal and non-criminal incidents against City property or employees from both internal and external sourcesIncrease safety and security awareness through the development and delivery of training sessionsMaintain a contact list to keep ahead of emerging trendsBuild relationships and work closely with clients to find proactive and innovative solutions to reduce the number and severity of incidentsProvide VIP Executive ProtectionPerforming other related dutiesQualificationsCertificate or Diploma in security management, law enforcement and/or criminology from a recognized post secondary instituteA minimum of five (5) years of multi-disciplined security experience including experience at the supervisory level with emphasis on Closed Circuit Television and Card Access Systems.
