The Opportunity The Sales Director, will play a critical role in driving revenue growth across Element's large-scale events business in Western Canada. This is not a traditional account management role. Its a strategic sales position focused on business development, relationship leadership, and market expansion, particularly across corporate activations, conferences, festivals, DMCs, and live productions. Although you will inherit warm leads and established accounts, you will also be required to hunt for new opportunities and partnerships. Your primary mandate is growth: identifying new opportunities, converting high-value clients, and elevating Elements presence in Vancouver's complex and competitive events ecosystem. What Success Looks Like Meet or exceed growth targets through a mix of new business development and strategic account expansion Establish or expand relationships with top-tier planners, producers, DMCs, corporations, and institutional buyers Proactively pursue and secure new business including corporate events, high-end festivals, trade shows, and experiential activations Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams (project management, design, inside sales) to convert leads and hand off opportunities cleanly Track activity and performance using internal systems; communicate learnings and adjust approach as needed Day-in-the-Life Snapshot Prospect and meet with event planners, production companies, venues, and DMCs Lead discovery conversations and tailor proposals that reflect each clients needs Attend networking events, industry functions, and client activations to build trust and visibility Collaborate with internal creative and operations teams to brief opportunities and transition accounts Partner with the national marketing team to amplify Elements presence through social and digital channels Support initiatives to enhance brand visibility, drive community engagement, and grow market awareness Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify gaps and position Elements value Who Were Looking For The ideal candidate is an experienced sales leader with deep knowledge of the live events ecosystem, particularly in corporate, conference, and festival production. They are equal parts hunter and relationship strategist, bringing a track record of securing high-value business through both proactive outreach and market expertise. They understand the dynamics of the Vancouver event landscape and know how to win business through trust, timing, and execution. Compensation The typical compensation range for this position is from $80,000 $110,000 base pay annually, with the potential for uncapped commission based on sales performance. This range is based on market location and may vary depending on related knowledge, skills, and experience.
