This individual will thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. The Software Developer and IT Support will assist in all aspects of development with current and new application software and will be available to assist with IT support. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented professional, a problem solver and creative thinker, self-starter, and most importantly, a team player excited to grow with the company. This role is part of our hybrid work model.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch innovative approaches to software technology and development focusing on business needsDesign, develop, support, and manage application software, infrastructure and network systemsCollaborate with business managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requirementsWrite code and ensure scalable, secure, and efficient software functionality in alignment with technology principles and user needsLead project life cycle, from assessment, design, build to deploymentAssist in IT audit management, monitor security implementation and create operational manuals for users and team membersAssist in functions of helpdesk which includes the occasional support of 40 employees in Toronto and 12 remote employeesAssist in supporting all technologies deployed in the office, including all computers, boardroom technology, printers, and phone systemsPerform other duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceMust have 3-5 years hands-on experience with database design and management with SQL ServerKnowledge of Agile development methodologies, databases, and object-relational mapping (ORM) frameworkExperience with development and managing Microsoft Azure infrastructure, Azure VMs, Functions, Data Factory and Azure SQL ServerExperience with application development with Microsoft Power Suite (BI, Apps, Automate, Reports) (nice to have)Knowledge of Office 365 Suite (SharePoint, Teams, One Drive) and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM)Nice to have experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, LLM implementation for content assessment and generation is an assetWorking knowledge of software programming life cycle and hands-on programming experience (Python and C#)Knowledge of office infrastructure setup, desktop and application support, including networks, DNS/DHCP, Firewalls, Printers.Having Microsoft Certification is a bonusExperience with Yardi Voyager Software is an assetQualificationsStrong organization, inter-personal, time-management skills, ability to upskill quickly, and a high sense of urgency to meet deliverablesMust have excellent research and problem analysis skills that translate to software design and deliveryCan play an IT support role with process management, network infrastructure and desktop supportSuperior attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication (both written and verbal) skills and the poise and professionalism to represent Timbercreek in front of both internal and external partiesProfessional and positive with a can-do deal and team focused attitudeWillingness to learn, take on new challenges and grow in the roleStrong customer service skills when working with internal stakeholdersTimbercreek Capital is an inclusive and equal opportunity employer.
