This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced professional with a solid background in commercial lending, looking to join a team-oriented environment that delivers top-tier business and legal services across Canada and internationally.Key Responsibilities:Receive and interpret lender instructions with precision.Communicate directly with lenders and borrowers to coordinate search authorizations and gather necessary documentation.Conduct and review due diligence searches, including PPR and corporate records.Draft, review, and revise a wide range of security documentation (standard and non-standard).Coordinate execution and witnessing of all loan and security documents.Liaise with borrower’s counsel to ensure timely document exchange.Validate executed security documents for completeness and legal compliance.Work closely with the lender and accounting team to facilitate timely fund disbursement.File security documents with appropriate provincial and federal registries.Prepare detailed reporting letters and organize closing binders.Conduct and review post-registration searches to ensure compliance.Maintain meticulous file and document control throughout the transaction process.Perform additional duties as required to support the legal team.Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited Paralegal program.8+ years of experience as a Paralegal in commercial lending.Strong understanding of the Personal Property Security Act and experience with PPR filings.High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Compensation & Benefits:Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 annually.Health & Dental Plan, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and matching RRSP Program after 1 year.Paid Time Off: Includes 3 weeks vacation to start, personal days, sick leave, and a dedicated volunteer day.Lifestyle Perks: Reimbursement for fitness memberships and gym equipment.Education Reimbursement: Opportunities to support continued learning and professional development.Inclusive & Social Culture: Staff appreciation events, happy hours, holiday parties, and more.Diversity & Inclusion:The hiring firm embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion across all levels.
