As an effective leader, they will not only anticipate roadblocks but also inspire the team to think differently and ensure that they keep the customer and colleagues top of mind in every decision they make and every process they implement.Responsibilities:Responsible for achieving challenging business objectives, delivering high levels of satisfaction with internal and external customersOverall management and accountability of the Distribution Centres and the customers the DC servesPlan, direct and coordinate all distribution activities and will ensure to keep up to date with competitive activity, risks, and opportunitiesAlways act upon opportunities to add value and profitability by using initiative and seeking out innovative solutions or cost savingsDevelop, implement, and ensure service and KPIs levels are met in compliance with signed manufacturer / customer agreementsDraw up, have approved, and administer the budget for the DC. Develop and implement operational tactics for controlling operating costs and improving efficiencies at the Distribution Center. Foster a culture of continuous improvementMonitor inventory and complete forensic inventory analyses to ensure inventory accuracyResponsible to oversee DC labor planning, experience with engineered labor standards considered an assetExtensive experience in leveraging WMS software applicationsParticipate in strategic development and planning activities, as well as in the implementation of activities and programs.In conjunction with other departments respond to RFI, RFP, RFT or RFQ and ensure solutions are developed and implemented to achieve the TCS strategyAnticipate and respond quickly to customers needs and changes proactively seeking out information from the customerEnsures compliance with CFIA, TSSA and other regulatory guidelines and fostering strong and pro-active management of the Distribution CentersEnsure all requirements relating to security, safety & health, environment, and quality are being fully implemented and are consistently respected at the Distribution CenterResponsible for ensuring that SOPs reflect the operational reality across the Distribution Centers and are in accordance with SOPs or work procedures, as requiredResponsible for ensuring that Business Continuity Plans are developed, tested, continuously updated and that employees are trained and cross-trainedPromote the companys vision and values, leading the way in demonstrating TCS's people culture, to ensure that the team feels valued, listened to, and appreciatedEnsure that staff members have the tools and training they need to do their jobs well.
