Competitive Compensation Comprehensive Benefits Defined Benefit Pension Plan Paid Training Career Growth Opportunities The Role Reporting to the IMIG President & CEO, the Algoma Division Lead will oversee underwriting, claims, risk inspection, compliance, and sales & marketing functions across IMIGs Algoma division, leading the approach to proactively identifying, managing, documenting, and minimizing the risk of loss to policy holders. You will Enable Algomas insurance operations teams in the development, implementation, and maintenance of documented and auditable processes, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory compliance to ensure policy holder engagement, satisfaction, and fairness Set the tone, direction and metrics for Algomas underwriting, loss control, claims, compliance, sales & marketing, and information systems performance aligned with culture and strategy objectives Ensure division-based underwriting profit within controllable factors through rate, product, loss control, and enhanced data and analytics capabilities Develop, prepare, and monitor operating budgets collaboratively with the Algoma Division Accounting & Finance Lead Monitor industry performance metrics and emerging trends and opportunities, supporting innovation, adoption, and learning to enable long-term success across divisional and IMIG insurance functions Undertake research and development activities in support of culture and strategy objectives, leveraging technological innovation to enhance organizational capabilities, profitability, and long-term sustainability You have University / college degree or diploma in a business-related discipline, or equivalent or greater experience gained in financial services or insurer related settings 7+ years experience in demanding professional roles and 3+ years in management FSRA and OMIA status in good standing, or near term achievable Insurance designation such as a CIP an asset An outgoing and positive approach in aligning functional insurance units and their respective outputs You want Peaceful, Small-Town Charm Natural Beauty & Outdoor Recreation Affordable Housing Vibrant Arts & Culture Looking for a fresh start in a beautiful, welcoming community?
