Job Description: The Field Service Manager reports directly to the Director of Field Services He/She assists contractors and field personnel who provide formwork and shoring assembly and set up expertise and assistance for the construction team. The Field Service Manager is responsible for training personnel on the safe and correct assembly of Octaform's forming system and providing a detailed certification report upon the conclusion of each project. When not in the field, the field service manager works with Octaform's business development and engineering team on advancing large project opportunities from within the scope of their responsibility engaging contractors to understand installation procedures and efficiencies, working collaboratively to create advantages for Octaform on large public and private infrastructure projects. Duties: Collaborate with field sales and estimating teams for a smooth transition to project initiation Interface with multiple stakeholders, developers, contractors, engineers, concrete suppliers, and site personnel Participates in online pre-project planning sessions with contractors Assist customers and construction partners in scheduling projects Plan and schedule your service work calendar and travel Attend site and guide contractors and instruct site personnel to ensure appropriate use of Octaform's forming system Ensure contractors clearly understand technical requirements and obligations to meet warranty certification criteria for containment tank applications Conducted pre- and post-engineering reviews and reviewed structural designs and concrete mix designs for constructability, compatibility/consolidation, and fitness for purpose (i.e., watertightness, corrosion, etc.). Monitor pouring of concrete, mix design, and slump tests and provide detailed field reports and certification of the project (or non-certification) Stop work and alert all stakeholders when any parameters do not meet specifications, installation guidelines, construction and concrete best practices, reference code requirements, and standards for concrete construction (i.e., depth of cover etc.). Stop work and alert all stakeholders and Octaform management when other factors will not result in successful project delivery (it may not be our fault, but it's always our problem). Adhere to and exceed requirements of all local and Company safety standards Comfortable with travel and working remotely Deliver containment structures that do not leak upon commissioning Must know or learn key elements of the ACI 318, ACI 350, and ASTM-related codes, as well as a cursory understanding of European equivalents. Complete and update a safety checklist for each phase of assembly and construction, and conduct post-mortems if any safety issues are identified.
