With a flexible, respectful, and dynamic work environment, EDW is an ideal place to expand your knowledge and build your career.Reporting to the Director of Corporate Partnerships, the Manager, Partner Engagement and Events will support the Director of Corporate Partnerships in the development and execution of our new corporate partner program, while tracking performance and sales progress. You will also lead the strategic planning and flawless execution of key partner and stakeholder events across the organization. Your role will involve cultivating strong relationships with strategic partners, overseeing event and initiative delivery, and serving as a connector across departments to ensure our partner program is activated organization-wide.RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:Event Development and Management:Lead the strategic planning and execution of all corporate partnership events, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations.Working with the Events Coordinator, oversee all logistics for events, including venue selection, vendor management, budget oversight, and participant engagement.Act as the internal lead project manager, coordinating across teams and ensuring timelines, roles, and deliverables are met.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate partnership objectives into event strategies.Working directly with the Manager, Partner Communications and Earned media, Marketing, Market Intelligence, Executive Office, and other teams as needed, lead the event execution to deliver strategic events that deliver value to partners.Oversee the organizations participation in key external events, maximizing visibility, networking, and relationship-building opportunities.Partner Engagement and Revenue Generation:Identify partner opportunities and lead efforts to secure long term profitable growth of our program amongst existing and prospective partners.Work closely with the Director of Corporate Partnerships to monitor, track, and report on, partner engagement metrics and revenue performance.Stakeholder Engagement and Retention:Develop and implement a stakeholder engagement framework to support the objectives of our partnership program and organization.Identify key internal stakeholders and establish communication channels to ensure alignment and support for partnership initiatives.Work with the Manager, Partner Communications and Earned media to develop an ongoing communications program required to deliver sustained value to our partners.Develop, own and monitor stakeholder satisfaction and retention metrics, implementing strategies to enhance partner and investor relationships.Program DevelopmentWorking with the Director of Corporate Partnerships, lead the implementation of our new partnership programincluding developing and implementing new processes for onboarding, aligning internal teams, and engagement to ensure our partners have a seamless experience.Contribute to the development of inclusive economic development initiatives in partnership with the CEO and relevant stakeholders.Work with the Manager, Partner Communications and Earned media and in partnership with the Marketing team, develop the content requirements needed to inform a comprehensive integrated marketing communications program.Team Leadership:Directly manage one direct report (Events Coordinator), providing guidance, mentorship, and support in their role.Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring team members are aligned with organizational goals and priorities.KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITIES:Proven track record of formalized monitoring and reporting systems to track partnerships, event planning, and revenue generation performance.Strong project management skills, including ability to lead multi-stakeholder projects, manage timelines, and align cross-functional teams.Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from planning through execution, with strong attention to detail and accountability.Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to facilitate collaboration and influence stakeholders across multiple departments.Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making.Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and achieving objectives.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Donor Relations, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in partnership management, event management, donor or community relations, program development, or related roles.Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, event management software (Eventleaf)Previous experience leading a team would be considered an asset.Experience working in a corporate environment is highly desirable.DIVERSE TEAMS CREATE BETTER IDEAS AND GROWTH IN OUR CITY!A strong connector between business, industry, educational institutions and governments, Economic Development Winnipeg knows the most diverse teams bring about the best results when it comes to innovation, growth, and impact on a community.Economic Development Winnipeg values team members who are diverse in age, gender identity, race and cultural backgrounds, sexual orientation, physical and mental abilities.
