This is a great opportunity for a driven professional to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that offers variety, continuous learning, and career growth.Why Join Us?Competitive compensationComprehensive medical benefitsRSP matching planStable, consistent hoursOngoing training and career developmentSupportive team environment with growth potentialYour Role Includes:Preparing project estimates including pre-tender negotiations, quantity takeoffs, pricing, quotation submission, and tender follow-upDownloading, organizing, and reviewing tender documents to establish scope of workMaintaining tender schedules and tracking addenda to ensure timely and accurate submissionsMonitoring tender websites for opportunities and initiating contact with potential clientsReviewing technical drawings and blueprints to determine customer needs and prepare competitive quotesCoordinating project elements such as production, delivery, installation, engineering, and customer schedulesManaging rush projects and adapting to shifting prioritiesCommunicating with clients via phone, email, and in person; cold calling as neededCreating shop drawings and specifications for the production teamStaying current with technical knowledge to offer high-quality guidance to both clients and team membersManaging all project documentation, including estimates, shipping documents, and invoicesPerforming additional duties as requiredWhat Were Looking For:Degree in Civil Engineering (structural background with on-site experience is an asset)Requisite minimum 2 years of estimating experience in the construction industry (precast concrete experience preferred)Strong understanding of quantity takeoffs (unit method)Proficiency in AutoCAD (basic 3D drawing skills are a plus)Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and advanced ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication in EnglishLogical, solutions-oriented mindset with strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilitiesStrong time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlinesAbility to multitask, stay organized, and adapt to changing project needsCompetence in interpreting blueprints, drawings, and plot plans for accurate takeoffsA collaborative, positive team player who can also work independentlySelf-motivated, goal-driven, and detail-oriented
