The successful candidate will work with WellStat customers to identify operations-based energy-saving opportunities and support them in achieving cost reductions. This role requires deep familiarity with office HVAC systems, energy analytics, and smart building technologies to optimize performance and efficiency.Candidates with backgrounds in commissioning, building engineering, BMS controls, energy management, or energy auditing are encouraged to apply. Service technicians, commissioning agents, building engineers, and Professional Engineers are excellent candidates for this role.As a part of WellStats commitment to redefining building efficiency, this position offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation in energy management. It also provides remote work flexibility where applicable.Key Responsibilities Lead the implementation of WellStats Energy Foundations Program, managing the execution of energy efficiency strategies from identification to implementation, measurement, and reporting. Optimize HVAC operations and energy performance to enhance building efficiency and reduce costs. Analyze, visualize, and report energy metrics to diverse stakeholders, including building owners, property managers, and engineers. Develop and execute measurement and verification strategies to track energy savings and system performance. Provide technical expertise in integrating energy management systems and smart building solutions. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to advance WellStats sustainability initiatives. Deliver training and educational programs to internal and external clients on energy efficiency best practices. Prepare clear, data-driven reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.Qualifications & Skills The candidate must have a deep familiarity with office HVAC and control systems, as well as experience working with office building operating engineers and property managers. We are accepting candidates from a wide variety of backgrounds with knowledge of commercial office building HVAC systems and operations. Ability to diplomatically challenge the status quo through skilled communication, interpersonal skills, and compelling data. Ability to direct, persuade, and motivate others. Must have familiarity with Excel and excellent data analysis skills and data intuition. Expert Excel skills are a plus. Familiarity with operations-based energy efficiency strategies such as those from PNNL, ASHRAE 36, and ENERGY STAR.
