This position will be a 60 Hour Guaranteed Shift and community visit nursing on a biweekly basis.We are currently seeking nurses specializing in pediatrics to support children by providing consistent long-term shifts in their homes. The shifts will be 12 hours, currently requiring 07:00 am to 7:00 pm. Care will be required 7 days a week, and therefore there will be the requirement of weekday and weekend shifts. You will be rewarded by witnessing the joy of children who are able to stay at home for care rather than be in the hospital. Special skills required are:Enteral FeedingC-Pap/BipapOxygen AssistanceAs the primary care planner to your clients, you have the autonomy and flexibility to provide a holistic approach to care while providing a child the opportunity to thrive in their home environmentProvide client care by utilizing the skills of observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching; nurse in charge in the setting and, if required, to the immediate Supervisor at the branch officeProvide care according to the established care plan ensuring that, on an ongoing basis, the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent; care must be within the scope of practice of a Licensed/Registered Practical NursePerform routine nursing duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and Standards of Nursing Practice as defined by the provincial licensing bodyPerform specialized nursing procedures for which recognized training and current competency can be demonstratedParticipate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activitiesMaintains confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnelWhat YOU Bring To BayshoreYou have graduated from an accredited School of Nursing with a Registered Practical Nurse CertificationYou hold a current nursing license in good standing with CNOYou have at least two years of nursing experience. (community experience would be an asset)You have proof of a current negative TB test (within the last year)You must have a valid G class drivers license and continuous access to a registered vehicleYou have a current/clear vulnerable sector checkYou possess excellent assessment, documentation, verbal, and communication skillsBayshore is committed to a high quality and safe environment for both our staff and clients/patients.
